From emails to dreams: life as an ESC volunteer

Hello Dear Reader,

It appears as if I have found myself in the quaint little town of Växjö. You see I have always dreamed in an artistic manner, I have always wished for an artistic life, so when I saw that there was an ESC project of an artistic nature I immediately volunteered.

And now I walk the streets of Växjö with light strides and dreams in flight, working on personal and professional projects alike.

I find myself wishing upon a star, that my time here would last a little longer still.

With mouths ajar and culinary treasures of dill, my days are spent in thrill. I learn about new cultures with roommates from afar, I roam the night with Swedish friends in delight and I spend my days in a corporate fight; trying to make a festival so bright.

My days are spent in emails back and forth, coordinating people of all sorts and planning the Kinematora Film Festival that’s still a little far off.

But that’s only my official duties. In my free time I write and film and edit and dream, my goal remaining unseen.

A job, a book, a wish, a dream, I wonder if I will be able to make something that will last or if I will be lost in the endless abyss of capitalism.

I am enjoying the view from my room, with grass so green it makes me feel like a queen. The Swedish lakes are more beautiful than cake and the town itself is pleasantly felt.

I’d say let the worries of the future be and with the present make do.

Enjoy the little moments you have, for that is all there is to do!
